Etude House: Happy Teatime Lemon Tea Cleansing cream (Review)

Saturday, November 2, 2013

Hello beauties, this has been on my draft lists for like forever. I thought I would have enough time to blog since it's already sembreak but I guess I'm too lazy to keep up with blogging.. lol I am such a crappy blogger. I know!  But anyways tonight, I am going to share with you guys this current cleansing cream that I've been using from the Etude House.

It's called "Happy Teatime Lemon Tea Cleansing cream". Php 198 for 180 ml.
I was using Ponds cold cream for the longest time, I find it very gentle and great for removing my makeup.. I have never encountered any breakouts or irritation while I was using it.. I just love love it. However, it's kinda hard for me to get one when I'm out of it, so when I was in Cebu my cousin gave this to us and so far I like it! and I thought I'd share with you guys what I think about this cleansing cream.

Full makeup on, this was after my Graduation pictorial.

Cleansing cream is very essential for me because I personally like doing the double cleansing routine just to make sure I get all the gunk out of my pores just to avoid having breakouts.
waterproof eyeliner and mascara.

You just need a tad bit of the cleansing cream.
It has a runny lotion consistency so a little goes a long way.

here's a video of me while removing my make up.
As you can see I didn't use any cotton pads because I find it harsh for my skin..
I just kinda massage it all over my face and then wet my hands with water to emulsify it a bit.

look how icky!

However, after washing my face as you can see it didn't remove my eye make up..
so I had to use a Q-tip to remove my eye make up separately.

my face after! I'm feeling squeaky clean!

My thoughts:
Honestly, it wasn't that good in removing the whole make-up and eye make-up completely.. there would always be left residues. But it was fine nonetheless! I would suggest ofcourse to always do a double cleansing routine, meaning after this step you should always ALWAYS wash your face using a facial wash just to make sure your pores are all clean before going to bed. Though I think it would be a lot easier to remove my whole makeup if I just use a cotton ball or pads with it.. which I don't. haha for some reason I just like staying away from the cotton pads/balls. Instead I use my cleansing puff(sponge) from Etude house. I find it more gentle for the skin. I also hate the smell, it smells like a taxi car freshener. and I also find the tub unsanitary because it doesn't come with a spatula.

Pros:
Super cheap
Can remove the make up fine
Cute packaging
Didn't break me out
Not oily

Cons:
I hate the smell, it smells like a car freshener
It doesn't come with a spatula
Not good in removing water proof eye makeup

Will I repurchase? it's fine but I don't think so. I would like to try other cleansing creams out there.

Ratings: 3 stars.

  2. Shame that it doesn't remove eye makeup very well - this looks a product I would probably buy if I passed by it in a shop because I'm a sucker for cute packaging. Thanks for the review. I don't think I'll be purchasing this anytime soon. I'm sure there are better cleansing creams out there for at that price point :]

  3. Sounds good, but like you hate the air freshener type smell, so don't think I'd go for it.

    Hmm maybe...

  6. Aw! Too bad it didn't do well in removing eye makeup but I think most cleansing creams don't do well with waterproof eye makeup! Great review! :)
