Plant with Me: Mint

Tuesday, June 23, 2015

I recently bought a new tumbler with lemon infuser and I was so happy about it that I bring it everyday and buy lemons. I thought adding a mint would really help boost my lemon water, but unfortunately for some reason finding mint leaves are so hard to find! So I figured might as well plant my own..
So I bought this little guy from Saizen store, would you believe that they actually carry these?? they've got lots of herb seeds to choose from (basil, parsley, etc) but I opted for the mint.
Here are the three things that you'll find inside. Ofcourse, the seeds, pot, and a growing medium.

look how cute and tiny are these seeds!!
The growing medium kinda look too artificial for me, or I just probably didn't know how they should look like. haha But nonetheless, it was a good amount for the little pot.
I probably went too excited and forgot that the pot has a small opening at the bottom and forgot to close it with my finger whilst transferring the growing medium.Yikes! such a mess.
I managed to pour everything in the pot and put the seeds on the surface (according to the instructions) and put a wee bit of water. It says to place the plant where it has a lot of sunlight so I figured this would be enough sunshine for this little guy. I would wait for atleast 15 days and let you guys know if this plant would really make it. hihi Excited! I'm planning to plant more seeds if this works. I hope it would though. x

  2. Yay how cool is this?! I've never sprouted a plant from a seedling myself but instead take clippings. I did it with mint & Thai basil. :]
