My current skincare routine
I've been planning to do a blog post about my current skincare routine for the longest time now since I haven't done one in awhile and I get a lot of requests for it, I honestly wasn't so sure about the products I use and I was on a bit of trial and error; finding the right skincare routine that would work for my skin. Finally, I think I have it all figured out. Just a disclaimer: what works for my skin might not work for your skin.

Skincare routine 2015
TADAAHH!! Yup these are just the basic skincare routine that I use. I tried to cut it down as much as possible and just really use the basic ones that I REALLY need for my skin. When it comes to knowing about the skincare routine process, all you really need to remember is that you have to start with the thinner ones (toner, serum, etc) and then build it up to the thicker ones (moisturizer, anti-aging cream, etc).

Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner Review
First Step: THE TONER - after washing your face, toner comes second. Toner helps clean your face, as well as get rid of your dead skin cells and prepare it for the rest of your skincare process. I use Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid (Php1,331) because it also helps keep my skin at bay. You can check out my review of this here.

Mac Prep + Prime Skin brightening serum
Second Step: THE SERUM - Serum has a very concentrated ingredients that really penetrates deep into your skin providing you with lots of benefits like vitamin c and vitamin e, depending on your serum. Just like in the morning, the first thing you eat is what fuels your body. Same goes with skincare. I am recently using the MAC Prep + Prime Brightening Serum (Php 2,000+) I'm not entirely sure if they have discontinued this, but I love this serum because it's very lightweight, and smells really good. I just don't seem to notice if this really brightens my skin, but so far it didn't break me out.

Vitamin E sorbet
Vitamin E moisturizer
Third Step: THE MOISTURIZER - I've been bragging about this moisturizer from the Body Shop called Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet (Php995) for so long and recommended this to friends. I like that this is actually very lightweight and smells really good.
The body shop Vitamin E limited Edition
I got the Limited Edition recently for half the price and told you guys about this promo here.
The Body Shop Moisturizer Vitamin E
The texture is the best part, you would think just because they claim to hydrate your skin for 24-hours that this moisturizer would be somewhat heavy and creamy and just overall sticky.. Fear not.Sorbet moisturizer
This moisturizer is actually very thin, has an aqua-light texture and cooling on the face. Absorbs pretty much within seconds and dries out as matte. It has a silicone feel to it so it's also great as a make-up base/primer.

Rachel K eyecream
Fourth Step: THE EYECREAM - "This certified organic anti-aging eye cream contains powerful active ingredients (Algae from depth of the oceans, Aloe Vera, Shea Butter, Jojoba, Olive Oils, Squalane) that rapidly smooth, hydrate, reduce puffiness and dark under-eye circles"

Eversince I've reached my 20's stage, I started being really serious about my skincare especially when it comes to eyecream. The first signs of again are usually shown around the eye area a.k.a crow's feet. I have different eyecreams at home but the one I've been using is this eyecream called RACHEL K YOUTH COMPLEX (SGD35.00) or Php1,167.44. Rachel K is a skincare line founded by the Miss Univerese Singapore Ms. Rachel Kum. I like that this eyecream has an applicator, but I find it hard to press for the product to come out without squirting it all over the place. But overall, I can see some improvements on my eye and helps it stay hydrated throughout the night.

Skincare routine 2015
So these are all my skincare routine.. I still have some rituals from time to time like facemasks, mudpack, pimple eraser, etc. But these are the basic ones that I use on a daily basis. I would definitely encourage you guys to invest for a good skincare products because after all, we only have one face. If you could buy expensive designer bags and make-ups then you could definitely buy a good skincare products right? Our face is our canvass, no matter how expensive and good our make-ups are, it would definitely be useless if we don't have a nice canvass to start out with.
