DRY SKIN SAVIORS
My skin is surprisingly extra dry lately.. probably something to do with the weather. But whatever that is, I am srsly not happy about it. And then I had some deep thoughts with myself and figured out how I could atleast try to salvage my sahara desert-like skin. Mind you, it's not even summer here nor winter (I wish) but my skin just suddenly decided to be extra dry.. So I have come up with these basic steps/skincare regimen and called it the "DRY SKIN SAVIORS", things that we all readily have at home, or could easily buy in the market. Products that offers a lot of hydration without being too heavy for a humid weather that we have here in the Philippines.

DRY SKIN REGIMEN
I have been blogging about The body shop Vitamin E sorbet moisturizer  it's pretty lightweight on the skin and claims to give hydration for 24hours. This works for me greatly, but I find that this isn't moisturizing enough as I've expected it to be. But if you're looking for a quick fix moisturizer, this could do the job. Just make sure to use an extra moisturizer at night because this gets too lightweight overtime.

Facial mists are crucial, there isn't as fast quick as these facial mists could give. I used to keep my Mario Badescu Rose Water Facial Spray in the fridge because it gives me a really refreshing and cool effect, and it was really good. But lately, I tried to invest in something a little pricier and has a lot of good reviews like the PIXI Glow Tonic (read my review here)  I like that gives me a really glowing skin and keeping it hydrated without looking like a greaseball. You could find a lot of cheaper facial mists in the market like this 3CE Aqua  Mist or the Evian facial mist. I believe that we should all invest in a good facial spray as they can not only hydrate your face but also set your make-up.

SKINCARE 101
and lastly, a soothing and hydrating facial sheet mask like this one from My Beauty Diary mask.  It is not surprising for many that I am obsessed with sheet masks, I collect them and I always reach out to them whenever my skin needs some rescue. It's like a quick trip to your favorite spa and  the best part? you get to do it at home, at your own comfort whenever you want it. Mask can not only help your skin rejuvenate, but it can also help shrink your pores, and save you few steps of your skincare routine.

  1. I have heard so much about the pixi tonic, I really want to give it a try, but my skin is combo so not sure it will work in the same way as it does with your dry skin.
